The Construction of SPOC Teaching Mode Based on Instructor-led Online Training and Its Application in Open Universities
SPOC， with advantages in reconstructuring class， still mainly provides course resources for the learners who do selfstudies as the chief mode of learning， and shows an insufficient supervision and feedback on and from the learner in the course of learning resulting in the urgent need for the learners’ self-discipline and self-study ability. By combing the latest findings at home and abroad in terms of SPOC and instructor-led online learning， and considering the forms and features of open universities in China， this paper constructs SPOC teaching mode based on the Constructivist Learning Theory， Distributed Cognition Theory， Cooperative Learning Theory and Activity Theory. This Mode involves such elements as the preparation for teaching and the design of teaching activities and evaluation system， and explores the application of instructor-led SPOC in open universities with the methodologies like interviews and questionnaires. It is concluded that the teaching mode， to some extent， promotes learners’ self-study and improves their abilities of analyzing and solving questions， facilitates the realization of learning obhectives， thus brings benefits to the sustainable development of SPOC and the teaching innovation of the open education.
