英文摘要 | In order to explore the development path of out-of-school time STEM programs, this paper is based on the two key elements of implementation and evaluation of out-of-school time STEM programs and summarizes the development and operation of America’s programs. During the implementing process, out-of-school time STEM programs demonstrate diversity in summer camp program; weekend program and program after school time in disseminating STEM basic education with its unique advantages, meanwhile, facing challenges like funding, quality and teacher in practice. To ensure the effective implementation, the America construct three-level evaluation model of student STEM outcomes. This study could offer enlightenment to the growth of outof- school time STEM programs in China, particularly implementing diversified out-of-school time STEM programs, improving professionalism of out-of-school time STEM programs, and constructing effective measurement of it. |
