On Scientific Spirit and Education for Scientfic Spirit

美国著名科技史专家乔治‧萨顿曾说：[大多数的人，而且我也遗憾地说还有不少科学家，都只是通过科学的物质成就来理解科学，都不去思考科学的精神。]他指出，科学对人类的功能绝不仅仅是为人类带来了经济价值和实用价值，即物质上的便利，这只是它的副产品，科学最宝贵的价值是科学的精神。

Education for scientific spirit is a weak link in our science education and a blind spot in student personality construction. Dealing with concepts about science the author thinks that aims of education for scientific spirit should include a suspicious spirit， a pioneering spirit， a down-to-earth spirit， and points out that education for scientific spirit play an important role in developing healthy student personality. The author sums up four approaches to education for scientific spirit which may be helpful to improve science education in our primary and secondary schools.
