中文摘要 | 本研究採取內容分析法作為研究方法,以1998~2018年所通過之257篇成人教育博士學位論文為研究對象,探討其研究領域與主題、方法論、研究取樣對象與研究目的等內容,以瞭解臺灣自推展成人教育以來,在正規高等教育機構有關成人教育研究之成果與趨向,進而探索其研究特性與不足之處。研究主要發現為:一、近10年來臺灣成人教育博士學位論文在數量上大幅成長,總計172篇,占所有論文257篇之66.93%;二、「成人學習」、「概念與理論」與「政策與行政管理」是臺灣成人教育博士學位論文近20年來最感興趣的研究領域;三、研究類型方面量化與質化研究等量齊觀,量化研究以問卷與德懷術最多,質化研究則以個別訪談與焦點團體訪談最多;四、以成人教育機構或團體、高齡者與成人學習者為研究或取樣對象之主要特色;五、研究目的以描述性與解釋性兩者居多。根據上述結論,本研究提出未來臺灣成人教育研究之建議。 |
英文摘要 | In this study, content analysis was used to study 257 doctoral dissertations on adult education from 1998 to 2018. This analysis is focused on the research fields and themes, methodology, research objects and research purposes of adult education in order to understand the achievements and trends of adult education research in formal higher education institutions in Taiwan since the introduction of adult education, and to explore its characteristics and shortcomings. The main findings are as follows. Firstly, over the past decade, the number of doctoral dissertations in adult education in Taiwan has grown considerably, accounting for 66.93% of all the 257 dissertations. Secondly, adult learning, concepts and theories, as well as policies and administrative management, have been the most interesting research fields in the past 20 years. Thirdly, quantitative and qualitative research are the same in terms of research types. Questionnaires and Delphi techniques are the most frequently used in quantitative research, while individual and focus group interviews are the most frequently used in qualitative research. Fourthly, the majority characteristics of research objects is adult educational institutions or groups, senior and adult learners. Fifthly, the purpose of the studies is mainly descriptive and explanatory. Based on the above findings, this study proposes suggestions for future research on adult education in Taiwan. |
