中文摘要 | 本文主要目的在於分享全英文教育哲學之教學經驗,其中包括全英文教學的困難點分析,如學校全英文教學教師不足、教師培育緩不濟急且學生對於全英文學習的恐懼感等,同時,哲學內容本身的困難度亦加深了全英文學習障礙。據此,筆者在實際課堂上設計了特殊的教學活動:「你說我猜」與「賓果競賽」活動。「你說我猜」的活動鼓勵學生以英文發言,並透過遊戲的方式讓學生不會有發言的壓力;「賓果競賽」的設計更幫助學生展現自身對於整個課程的理解,因為只有充分理解授課內容,才能設計出好的題目。教師透過這類活動設計,以提升學生學習及自學的動機和興趣。本文亦明確地展示了學生的學習成果(以學生自己設計的英文題目呈現),可作為施教者之參考。 |
英文摘要 | This paper aims at sharing teaching experiences from philosophy of education in all-English courses by analyzing difficulties and problems which may occur (for instance, a shortage of teachers capable in all-English courses, the slow process of fostering qualified teachers, and the fear of students’ participating in such courses). At the same time, philosophy itself is a difficult and challenging subject to teach, since speculative training is needed in understanding the content of this subject. The author therein designed in class some teaching activities to deal with these difficulties. A “Word guessing” activity encourages students to speak English without pressure, and a “Bingo” activity helps them to delve into the profound meaning of Maritain’s theory. Both activities are designed to promote student motivation and self-learning of the subject in question. In this paper, we also display student learning achievement: They wrote their own test questions in English to prepare for the “Bingo” activity. This author hopes that the achievements of the students may provide teachers some reference for all-English teaching. |
