Comments on American 21st Century Community Learning Center After-School Program

Because of the great changes in economic and social environment in the United States since the 1960s， the out-of-school education for youth becomes an important and urgent matter for the whole society， which provides the conditions for implementation of the 21st Century Community Learning Center program (21stCCLC). As an important policy of after-school education for youth in America， the 21stCCLC has developed more mature in operation and guarantee system since it established in 1990s， and attracted various aspects of power to research and evaluate. With a series of data， these researches demonstrated the potential value of the after-school education for youth， and promoted the further improvement of the 21stCCLC. As a successful policy of after-school education for youth， the 21stCCLC has a reference value for us.
