A Study of the Professional Standards for Accomplished Teaching of Languages and Cultures in Australia

澳大利亞《語言與文化優秀教師專業標準》的制定背景和內容,有四點啟示:基礎外語教育遵從國家利益取向的語言戰略規劃;體現教師專業結構,突出外語學科特色;強調教師最高標準,發揮教師發展主體性;注重標準出臺前的充分準備和頒布后的教師培訓.這些理念和特征為我國中小學外語教師專業標準的系統研究提供借鑒.

The initiation and implementation of Australia's Professional Standards for Accomplished Teaching of Languages and Cultures mainly gives us implications with four points. Firstly, school language education should keep in line with the national strategic development plan; secondly, professional standards for language teachers should embody the essence of the profession and reflect its characteristics; thirdly, an emphasis should be given to the high levels of achievement of accomplished teachers of languages and teachers' professional development; and finally, sufficient consultations before the finalization of a set of standards and post-promulgation workshops are necessary. These implications can be a useful frame of reference for making of national standards for teachers of foreign languages in elementary and secondary schools in China.
