大学中存在着各种由两个互相关联的元素组成的双元性对应关系，通过对这些双元性对应关系的分析，可以更好地把握大学的组织结构、基本职能、活动方式等主要特征，加强对大学系统的认识。本文着重分析了大学中教师与学生、人才培养与科学研究、学术组织与行政组织、精英文化与大众文化、科学教育与人文教育等五组典型的双元性对应关系，从一个新的切入点对大学进行解读。
