英文摘要 | Focusing on young faculty with overseas learning experience, this research aims at exploring their working adjustment at universities after returning. The results indicate that young faculty in humanities and social sciences, though having passion for teaching, meet challenges as they lack sufficient teaching experience and skills. They encounter much difficulty in making progress in research, concerning successfully obtaining competitive research projects and publishing articles after returning. In addition, they do not identify with the current mechanism of research assessment and promotion at universities. The paper further probes factors influencing their working adjustment, and provides suggestions for both universities and young returning faculty. |
