《功能语法导论》是韩礼德教授的代表作，也是系统功能语言学理论的精随。《功能语法导论》(汉译本)的初版可以使读者更好地了解和把握系统功能语言学的基本思想。本文以《功能语法导论》的基本观点为基础，对汉译本进行评述。

An Introduction to Functional Grammar is a masterpiece of Professor M.A.K. Halliday as well as the quintessence of systemic functional linguistics. The publication of the Chinese version of An Introduction to Functional Grammar makes it possible for teachers to better understand and grasp the basic ideas and concepts in systemic functional linguistics. On the basis of the fundamental tenet of An Introduction to Functional Grammar, this article provides a review of the Chinese version.
