The returns on fundraising depend on its strategy. As an advanced and eminent country in the higher education fundraising in the world， what strategy does the American colleges and universities adopt in fundraising， what are their characteristics and advantages， and why the strategy can make efficient returns in practice? The author probes into these problems and hope to offer some experience for Chinese colleges and universities in fundraising.
