英文摘要 | It is a consensus that the high quality teacher is a key factor for ensuring high quality education. The professional development standards for high quality teacher was one of the most important measures put forward in the act of No Child Left Behind issues in 2002. This paper reviews the contents and the actions regarding teacher professional development in the NCLB and analyzes the positive and negative influences of NCLB on teacher professional development. With a purpose of identifying the advantages and disadvantages of the policy, this review intends to provide some thoughts for policy making related to teacher professional development standard in China. |
