New Challenges Facing American Undergraduate Education

进入新世纪，美国高教界围绕竞争力问题进行了广泛的讨论和研究。美国六大教育团体和其它机构对美国本科教育所面临的危机与挑战进行了深入探讨，并对如何应对这些挑战提出了相应的对策。这些研究成果对正处于大众化时代的我国本科教育有一定的借鉴意义。

American undergraduate education is facing new challenges particularly related to the national competitiveness and security. The six educational associations and other communities in America have addressed these challenges and put forward their recommendations in terms of how to meet these challenges. The research on these issues is useful for the undergraduate education in China which seeks expansion.
