英文摘要 | In order to maintain its leading role in the intensive international competition and extensive social changes, Oxford University has explored a series of major reform upholding the principle of “academic excellence” and “collegiate self-governance” over the past 40 years. The 2004-06 Oxford governance reform may be regarded as a serve tension between academic and administrative power in modern university governance. It spurs other universities to reflect upon their own governance as well as nature and future of university. This study examines the background, process, characteristics and impact of the Oxford governance reform. |
