An Idea about the Compatibility of Dimensions and Quality of Higher Education

管理学中，”和的天才”理念主张人们可以同时追求两个看上去相互矛盾的目标，而且这种追求是实现成功的重要因素。 高等教育发展中的规模与质量是一对对立统一的矛盾，它们并非互相排斥、无法兼容，而是可同时兼顾、同时兼得；而且高等教育规模是发展的基础，高等教育质量是发展过程中的核心，它们共同促进高等教育的成功发展。这也是一种高等教育发展的”和的天才”的理念。

The idea of “Genius of the And” in the management holds that people can pursue two seem-to-be contradictory things simultaneously， which is one of the important factors in a successful career. This paper therefore introduces this idea into the higher education field， and then discusses the dimension and quality in the development of higher education. It points out that even though the two aspects are exclusive and in contradiction with each other， meanwhile they are of coexistence-the former is the basis for the development while the latter is the core in the progress， both stimulating the development of higher education.
