In a combination of the development history of educational assessment with the course of philosophical development， this paper makes a philosophical examination of the history of educational assessment and explores internal developmental laws of educational assessment so as to seek both philosophical and historical grounds for constructing the conception of educational assessment in the contemporary multi─value context.
