A Study of the Relationships among Implicit Psychological Capital, Job Satisfaction, and Organizational Citizenship Behavior of University Student Affairs Staff
The purpose of this study was to explore the relationships among implicit psychological capital, job satisfaction, and organizational citizenship behavior of staff members working in the division of student affairs at universities in Southern Taiwan. 266 valid samples were collected from 11 universities, and structual equation modeling (SEM) analysis was conducted. Results indicated that there was a significantly positive effect from implicit psychological capital on job satisfaction. While a significantly positive effect from job satisfaction on organizational citizenship was also found, however, no significant effect was found from implicit psychological capital on organizational citizenship. Additionally, job satisfaction played the key mediator role on the relationship between psychological capital and organizational citizenship behavior. Based on the findings, suggestions for related student affairs staff, units, and future research directions were proposed.
