中文摘要 | 本研究旨在探討大一新生教育抱負及其相關因素。經由問卷調查分析國內11所公、私立大一新生(含684位男生和654位女生)之就讀領域、學校類別、學業成績、父母親教育程度與職業類別對教育抱負之影響。研究發現:超過五成的大一新生(男生57.4%、女生59.6%)期望未來能取得碩士學位;但男生希望獲得博士學位之人數(25.6%)顯著高於女生(16.8%)。就男生而言,學業成績愈高,其碩士學位與博士學位的教育抱負愈高;且公立大學男生的博士學位教育抱負顯著高於私立大學男生。就女生而言,學業成績愈高,其碩士學位教育抱負愈高,但學業成績不會影響女生的博士學位教育抱負,而母親職業愈專業,女生愈傾向取得博士學位。最後依據研究發現,提出教育實務及未來研究之建議。 |
英文摘要 | The purpose of this study was to explore gender differences in the effects of backgrounds on educational aspirations among first-year university students. The participants were of 684 male and 654 female university students from 11 universities in Taiwan. The results show that near sixty percent of students (male, 57.4%; female, 59.6%) indicate their educational aspiration for a master degree, and the number of male students (25.6%) is significantly higher than that of female students (16.8%) on educational aspiration for a doctoral degree. Male students with higher academic performance indicate higher aspiration for master and doctoral degrees. The number of male students from public university is higher than that of private university for doctoral degree. Academic performance has non-significant effect on female students’ doctoral educational aspirations. Female students whose mother’s occupation was more professional tend to acquire a doctoral degree. Implications for educational practice and suggestions for future research are discussed. |
