中文摘要 | 臺北市在十二個行政區已各建置一所英語情境中心,因此本論文探討臺北市英語情境中心營運概況,期望臺北市英語情境中心永續經營。先述臺灣各地英語村發展概況,再敘北市英語情境中心之實施方式與現況;並析述各中心行政人員及中師在問卷上對情境中心的規劃設計及使用管理所提出之看法及建議。 獲如下結論:臺北市英語情境中心,一、在配合教育政策、建立實用的英語情境和縮短貧富差距;二、積極引進外師和中師進行協同教學;三、以課程主題激發學習興趣,但宜避免主題重複建置。另外,中心行政人員及中師表示各情境中心在行政運作及教學運作上有待改善之處。本研究針對教育主管機關、情境學習內涵、中外師協同教學及未來之研究提出建議。 |
英文摘要 | Twelve English villages were built in the twelve districts in Taipei City, one in each district. This study thus aimed to explore the implementation of all the twelve English villages and provide suggestions for further improvement. First, the implementation of English villages in different parts of Taiwan and difficulties of implementation are described. The paper then describes the implementation of the English villages in Taipei City, followed by the results from the written feedback on a questionnaire provided by the administrators and local teachers of the English villages. The paper discusses the results as follows: First, the construction of the English villages is based upon the educational policy to create practical learning contexts for children’s English learning and to shorten the gap between the rich and the poor. Second, the English villages emphasize the potential benefits that foreign teachers can offer to co-teach with local teachers. Third, the establishment of the English villages stimulates the students’ English learning motivation through simulated environments; however, different English villages should avoid being built based on the same themes. Fourth, the administrators and local teachers of the English villages voiced their opinions about and recommendations for administration and curriculum development. Based on the findings from the study, constructive suggestions were provided. |
