The study of current situation of Mainland China Confucius Institute

本研究以孔子學院為研究對象，採用文件分析法，分析設立之緣起、目的、組織架構、辦理模式與發展現況等。本研究發現，孔子學院面臨以下問題:孔子學院發展與管理上的困境；合作雙方的認知與學習者動機，影響到孔子學院的發展；欠缺優良師資與適合教材教法，辦學品質有待提升；「文化入侵」說的負面影響等等。
孔子學院面臨之問題，可採取之改善策略如下:1.定期檢視孔子學院的發展；2.強化與國外大學、社區的合作關係與互動；3.開發合宜的教材教法，提升教學品質；4.強化師資培訓；5.結合各地社區，尋求各地文化與中華文化的結合；6.尋求長期穩定的行政支援與經費挹注。前述發展經驗可做為我國未來推動「台灣書院」或大學推動海外推廣教育相關之借鏡。

The purposes of this study are mainly to realize the purposes, organizational framework, current situation, problems and strategies of Confucius Institute of Mainland China. The study adopted documentary analysis. The major findings are that Confucius Institute has faced some problems: problems of development and management of Confucius Institute, both partnership between Confucius Institute headquarter and foreign organization and learner`s motivation affect the development of Confucius Institute, the lack of quality teachers and appropriate teaching materials, the influence of cultural invasion, and so on. According to the results of literature review and documentary analysis, this study ultimately drew up significant conclusions and suggestions for reference to the improvement strategies of Confucius Institute:1. survey the goals and orientation of Confucius Institute, 2.strengthen cooperation with foreign universities and communities,3. develop appropriate textbooks and methods of instruction, 4. strengthen the nurturance of teachers, 5.seek the integration of Chinese culture and foreign culture,6. seek stable administration and fiscal support.
