初中生同伴关系的影响因素分析

Analysis of the Determinants of Peer Relation in Beijing Middle Schools

为了深化对同伴效应研究中内生性问题的认识,本文利用北京市三所初中的学生追踪调查数据对同伴关系的影响因素进行了实证分析。研究发现学生个体特征是影响同伴群体规模、良好同伴关系和同伴群体位置的主要原因,父母对孩子的关心与教育期望亦有显著影响,而学生家庭社会经济背景作用微弱且不显著。本文将同伴关系性质、自我效能、父母关心与期望等新变量引入教育经济学对同伴效应的研究中,扩展了分析视角。

In order to deepen the understanding of the issue of endogeneity in peer effect studies, this paper utilizes a longitudinal survey data collected from three Beijing middle schools to analyze the determinants of the peer relation. The results indicate that individual characteristics are the most significant predictors of peer size, quality of peer relation, and the position in peer group. Parental attention and educational expectation also play significant roles. However, household socio-economic background has no observable impact. This study brings the nature of peer relation, self–efficacy , and parental attention and expectation into the economic analysis of peer effect, thus expanding the research horizon of this body of literature.
