“School is My Family”: the Pragmatic Rhetoric in School Legitimacy
Nowadays， the school education is facing a crisis of legitimacy in many aspects. Facing these “social facts”， our schools take a variety of ways to maintain the legitimacy of their status and prestige， one of which is to adopt the policy discourse rhetoric， especially as “school is my family”. This discourse chooses the word “family” which has special meanings in our culture， putting the structure， concepts and ethical relations of family into school， at the end， it confused the fundamental difference between them; it generalizes the ＂family culture＂ to school a social institutions， leads to the negative impact of ＂family culture＂ permeating into school， namely: “There is no individual within the family or school， and no community outside the home or school”.
