英文摘要 | As an identification of talents, the discourse of college material not only open the door for some talented rural kids for the possibility of class mobility, but also close the channel for other rural kids. “College material”is not a stable status group, only a conformation of talents, not a born beauty and their journey to climb educational ladder is full of risk and uncertainty. As a discourse practice, “college material” is deeply rooted in unbalanced urban-rural dual economic structure. Rural kids who had got high academic achievements were suffering from the stimulus and pain like roller coaster while these buried ones bear the weight of system all through their life. Their class traveling is full of obstacles, which enforce the dependence of public supporting system. |
