A Research Review about Basic Education Activities of Luo Zhenyu

By combing， summarizing the nine articles and books which involved in the basic education activities of Luo Zhenyu from 1943 to 2015， this paper comprehensively demonstrates Luo Zhenyu’s basic education activities from 1890 to 1911. And on this basis， the author insists that: The time he founded the Japanese Language School is June 19， 1898. Education World was founded at Wu Chang on June 6， 1901. And its previous editor-in-chief is Luo Zhenyu and its later editor-in-chief is Wang Guowei. The time for his investigation of Japanese education is from December 14， 1901 to February 19， 1902. The author’s research can modify the erroneous views in many dictionaries such as the Dictionary of Education， the Chinese Encyclopedia of Education and Cihai， and in the papers of Liu Zhengwei， Xue Yuqin， Xie Changfa， Zhu Meng， Yang Jianhua and Chen Bangzhi. The author also points out the shortcomings of these studies which are not so comprehensive， in-depth， accurate and responsible. These studies show a gradual in-depth trend. The educational achievement of Luo Zhenyu should be fully affirmed.
