The Evolution of the Theory of ‘Individuality Education’ in the Republic of China: from the Perspective of Sociology of Knowledge
‘Individuality education’ is an issue of great concern to the educational circles in the period of the Republic of China. It is also a controversial issue. Individuality education was not only the problem of education， but also politics， ideology and culture issue. From the development of the theory of individuality education， the development of individuality education in this period has gone through the individual based individuality education， the national standard individuality education and the science based individuality education change course. This change is actually a reflection of the change of educational thoughts in the process of social transformation.
