The Industrialization of Traditional Apprenticeship During the Period of Late Qing and Early of the Republic of China

Traditional apprenticeship’s industrialization shows us two different institutional characteristics ： firstly， for apprentices» the apprenticeship was a kind of educational system， and could teach them the job skill. But secondly， in the eyes of capitalist，the apprenticeship was a kind of employment system，and its training function had been missed. During the process of the apprenticeship's transformation， the conflicts between the patriarchal clan system ethics and the power of market shape the trajectory of apprenticeship's industrialization. In that time， the state cannot offer the law framework to handle these conflicts， and lead to many harmful social economic consequences.
