英文摘要 | Nowadays,China’s higher education has reached a critical stage in the process of moving towards great power in education,where enhancing the school- running quality of research universities holds great significance. Space resource, as the fundamental resource for running higher education institutes, imposes great influence on the university- running quality. Therefore, the optimal allocation of school space resource has become a practical question that higher education research in China must respond to. The current study takes UC Berkeley as an example to elaborate the three main clues together with ten effective measures in its practice of space resource allocation optimization. Meanwhile, the current study also examines the designing deficiencies in space resource in China's research universities. Combining the above analysis and the instance drawn from UC Berkeley, this article, in a solution- based approach,reaches the following conclusion. In order to bring the function of space resource into its full use and meet the needs of both students and faculties,higher education institutes in China should start from the school development ideas to expand and optimize the allocation of school space through the infusion between on and off campus environment. |
