尽管西双版纳的南传佛教教育以及傣族传统文化在现代化浪潮中都面临着改革和扬弃的挑战，但它 们并没有失去固有的社会基础。从清末至今，西双版纳的南传佛教教育历经波折，其教育目的和对象、教育内容和 制度、教育方式和手段，以及教育经费和师资等方面均发生了较为明显的“世俗化”倾向，然而，傣族传统文化的传 承和传播依然离不开南传佛教教育。南传佛教教育亦是如此，一方面它的教育内容和形式等教育要素必须植根于 傣族地区固有的文化资源之上，另一方面它还必须从傣族文化发展中获取自身发展的动力。

Nowadays， although the theravada education and Culture of Dai nationality are facing the challenge of revolution and sublation in the modernization trend， it does not mean that both of them have lost is social foundations. From the end of Qing dynasty to now， theravada education in Sipsong Panna has changed a lot in ts educational am， content， system and teaching method. Although the change is to be secularized， it is hard to say that the spread and transmission of Dai culture could separate from theravada education. On the one hand， the theravada education s rooted in the culture resources of Da i nationality； on the other hand， the culture of Dai nationality provides the development impetus for theravada education.
