英文摘要 | The Early Childhood Longitudinal Study Project of Kindergarten Class (ECLS-K) in the U.S, in which 22000 children from different class families across the United States have been tracked from kindergarten to the eighth grade,was started in 1998 by the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES) under the U.S. Education Department, together with many departments and institutes. The research aimed to provide nationally representative reference data information for policy makers and social scientists. In addition to collecting information of children’s individual development, the project also collected a large amount of related statistical data, such as race, gender, family structure,social and economic status, parents’ education levels, number of children, etc. The systematic, scientific, comprehensive and long-term feature of the research project can be helpful to carry out the relevant children study in China. |
