英文摘要 | The quality assurance of higher education in Ontario Province in Canada initiated at the end of the last century in 60s,and has already lasted for more than 40 years. In 2010,a new quality assurance framework for Ontario public universities was approved to establish. It is called Quality Assurance Framework ( QAF) . This new framework comprises four distinct components, namelythe protocol for new program approv-als, the protocol for the cyclical review of existing programs, the protocol for expedited approvals and an audit process. Every component follows a rigorous procedure. By examining the framework and its components, this paper discusses five following aspects that feature the QAFI constructing the internal quality assurance of universities as a core, building a culture of quality as an aim; serving as an evaluator and a meta-evaluator as a function; external and internal evaluation as a combination,and regularly reviewing and auditing universities' internal quality assurance processes. |
