Old Routine and New Paradigm: Research on the History of the Idea of University

There are some problems in existing research on the intellectual history of universities ，especially their narrative patterns and research paradigms， such as the overemphasis of classic writers and fragmented narrative patterns. By putting forward a series of questions worth asking about the history of the idea of a university and the intellectual history of higher education， this paper may enlighten researches in this field.
