中文摘要 | 高等教育品質決定因素是大學的師資、設備、課程與教學,以及行政措施之良窳,而不能單以學生素質論。本文從師資角度出發,分析我國大學整體教師素質,研究方法為資料次級分析,運用教育部統計處資料進行分析,所獲之發現包括:1. 我國大專校院生師比呈正向發展趨勢;2. 我國大專校院教師博士比和教師職級亦呈現成長趨勢;3. 我國大專校院教師國際期刊論文數量增加。最後分析我國大學教師素質現況之後,本文主張期刊論文只是學術研究成果的一部分而非全部,應留意以偏概全現象之發生,學術研究成果之衡量應注意學術領域之差異性,相對於學術期刊而言,專業性期刊及科普性期刊亦具社會影響力,學術評鑑政策之終極目標在各學術領域卓越發展而非領域失衡或傾斜等,共四項學術評鑑政策之反省性看法。 |
英文摘要 | The determinant factors of higher education quality include the quality of teachers, facilities. curriculum. and teaching and supporting system of administration, as well as the quality of students. This paper is to analyze teacher quality as a whole from the perspective of teachers. The method of secondary data analysis was employed in this research. The major findings include (1) the growth in the teacher-to-student ratio. (2) the number of university teachers with doctoral degrees and higher positions, and (3) the number of academic publications in international journals. Finally. reflections on the policy of academic evaluation are made to argue for more balanced development in various domains of academic research. |
