From post world war Ⅱto 1990,Japan's international education aid aimed at strengthening educational and cultural exchanges with the victimized Asian countries so as to change the negative national image of 'aggressor state' and 'economic animal'. After the 1990s,Japan's international education aid serves its strategy of great political power. Through the organization of the International Conference on African Development,Japan outputs its new aid philosophy. International education aid makes a significant contribution to its UN diplomacy. To enhance its political influence,Japan allocates its foreign aid to Mongolia,Vietnam and Thailand that are considered as strategic states. Education aid which is directly connected with the well-being of the people in the recipient countries, plays a positive role in establishing good relationship with the strategic states and the construction of Japan's soft power. |
