A Research on the Model Construction of Teacher Professional Development Based on Knowledge Building
The construction of the model of teacher professional development is based on certain philosophy and particular purposes， which plays positive roles in guiding the professional development of teachers， and improving effectiveness and efficiency of teacher professional development as well. The paper introduces a method used to construct a model of teacher professional development based on knowledge building. According to the procedures of building a teaching model， together with the systematic analysis of relative literature， the basic elements of the model have been figured out. In order to design the practical program supporting teacher professional development， the conceptual model and entity model of teacher professional development based on knowledge building has been built after analyzing the characteristics of knowledge building and integrating knowledge building with teacher professional development. The validity of the model has been certified in some relevant research.
