Comparative Study of Humanity Curricula in the World-class Universities in North America——Base on the Case Study of Humanity Curricula in Harvard University, Stanford University and the University of Toronto

哈佛大学、斯坦福大学和多伦多大学作为世界一流大学高度重视对本科人才培养的人文素养教育，分别通过专门设置的人文课程、“专门设置”与“课程超市”相结合的人文课程以及“超市型”人文课程模式来实施人文教育。其人文课程内容的共同特征是：丰富性、经典性、综合性、多元性和国际性。

As the world-class universities in North America, Harvard University, Stanford University and the University of Toronto paymuch attention to humanity education of the undergraduate students. Three models of humanity education implementation in these universities are as follows: 1. special humanity courses; 2. course supermarket; 3. a combination of special humanity courses and course supermarket. The common characteristics of the content of humanity curricula in the three world-class universities are: rich, classic, comprehensive, diversified and internationalized.
