英文摘要 | The decline of performance in PISA made the British government aware that there is still some gap in the quality of its school education in comparison with some other countries like Finland. To increase the quality of school education, British government issued several important legislations on teacher education in recent years. The new reform includes attracting high quality personnel into teacher profession through enhancing the requirement for teacher education candidates and universities and schools should work together even closely in initial training. In addition, the performance related salary system is carried out for teachers who are graded by professional titles. There are also various types of allowance for extra duties. All these make the pay for teachers similar as the pay level of civil servants. |
