Cultural Consciousness and Cultural Confidence of Open Universities: A Case Study of the Cultural Construction of Shanghai Open University

文化是大学赖以生存发展的重要根基和血脉。研究开放大学的文化，需要理清开放大学文化的传承和发展过程，并深刻认识其与其他大学文化所不同的独特内涵，才能在国家和地方的文化建设战略中发挥开放大学的独特作用。本文试图借鉴国际经验和国内实践，以上海开放大学的文化建设为例，从文化自觉和文化自信的视角，剖析开放大学的文化发展和文化特色，揭示开放大学文化建设的价值和影响。

Culture is the soul of a university. It is also the important foundation and blood for the survival and development of a university. It is essential to tell its own cultural connotation and understand the differences with other open universities, when studying the culture of an open university. This comparison could play a unique role in the state and local cultural construction strategies. This paper tries to draw lessons from the international experience and domestic practices. This case study of the cultural construction of Shanghai Open University analyzes the cultural developments and cultural characters of the university and reveals the values and effects of the cultural constructions at open universities.
