中文摘要 | 为了了解中学英语教师学术论文写作现状,围绕"中学英语教师学术研究能力如何?"和\"中学英语教师学术写作水平如何?"这两个研究问题,本研究以湖北大学2011届20位教育硕士学员的毕业论文为素材,从学术研究能力和学术写作能力两个方面分析参加教育硕士学习的中学英语教师的学术论文写作能力。学术研究能力从教育硕士学员毕业论文选题和研究问题设计两个方面开展讨论;学术写作能力从学员论文题目的汉英翻译和学术论文写作规范两个方面来探讨。研究结果表明,毕业论文的选题反映了学员通过课程学习,能够运用理论知识,反思自己的教学实践,尝试新的教学方法,寻求解决现实存在问题的途径。研究问题设计反映出中学英语教师在深入理解教学理念、提高教学水平和教学研究能力方面作出了积极探索。但是,学员的学术研究能力还有待进一步加强。同时,从毕业论文题目的汉英翻译以及文中引用和参考文献的撰写几个方面发现,学员的学术写作能力比较薄弱。因此,需要培养学员学术论文写作规范意识,提高其学术写作能力。 |
英文摘要 | The study discusses middle school English teachers'academic research ability and academic writing ability through the analysis of the theses of 20 Masters of Education (MEd) completed in 2011 by middle school English teachers attending the MEd program in Hubei University. The discussion of the subjects' academic research ability is based on the choice of research topics and the design of research questions in the MEd theses while the subjects' academic writing ability is analysed on the basis of the English translation of thesis titles and the use of academic writing format. The study shows that the subjects can apply theoretical knowledge learned and reflect on their own teaching practice. They experiment on the use of new approaches in order to find solutions to the existing problems in language teaching. The design of research questions also reflects the efforts the subjects have made in understanding teaching principles and in improving teaching and researching abilities. However, their academic research ability is to be enhanced. On the other hand, from the subjects' English translation of thesis titles and their use of references in the text and in the bibliography we can see that their academic writing ability is still lacking. Hence the awareness of academic writing format and the development of academic writing ability are to be desired. |
