本文旨在介紹楊深坑教授的生平，並探討其對臺灣比較教育研究制度化與全球學術社群連結的貢獻。文中進一步分析楊教授之比較教育理論與方法論，並評析其學術特色。楊教授的具體貢獻在於提出中西合璧的比較教育理論、強化臺灣比較教育學者與全球社群的連結、健全臺灣比較教育學術發展與人才培育系統，並以比較教育研究引領臺灣的教育改革。楊教授之比較教育觀點與研究的特色為：重視歷史脈絡與教育現象的詮釋與理解、採行中庸之道以兼融並蓄實證主義與文化主義觀點、因應學術與時代的變遷而調整觀點、建構比較教育的學術造型及其與普通教育體系的關聯，並將比較教育理論具體應用於德國教育的實務研究與臺灣教育改革。

This article aimed to introduce Professor Shen-Keng Yang’s life and his contributions to the institutionalization of comparative education research in Taiwan and the connection-building between Taiwan and the global academic communities. It also further analyzed his comparative education theories and methodologies, and finally evaluates his contributions and theoretical characteristics. His contributions included proposing a comparative education theory that integrated Chinese and Western perspectives, strengthening the connection between Taiwanese scholars and the global communities, enhancing institutionalization of comparative education in Taiwan, constructing a complete talent cultivation system in Taiwan, and contributing to educational reform in Taiwan through comparative education research. His comparative education perspectives and research are characterized by: emphasizing the importance of context and its understanding of educational phenomena; adopting an approach that combines Chinese and Western perspectives; attempting to construct an academic knowledge map of comparative education and it’s connection to general education; and the application of its comparative education theory to practical research in German education and educational reform in Taiwan.
