| 中文摘要 | 本文探討生成式人工智慧(Generative AI)於英文學術寫作中的應用,包含提升論文品質、增進寫作效率等。首先,說明ChatGPT、Wordtune與WalterWrites.ai在初稿構思、語言潤飾、文字人性化處理等不同階段的功能特性與適用範圍。其次,基於單一工具已難滿足英文學術出版全流程需求,本文提出生成式AI工具整合流程,提出線性流程(linear workflow)與循環流程(iterative workflow)兩種模式,分別適用於時間有限且結構明確的短篇寫作,以及需深度論述與反覆修訂的長篇研究。此外,亦提出針對特定需求的工具組合與應用情境建議,以因應多樣化的英文寫作挑戰。最後,本文旨在建構一套可行的生成式AI工具應用框架,以期協助非英語母語學者有效減緩於國際期刊投稿過程中的壓力。 |
| 英文摘要 | This paper explores the applications of Generative Artificial Intelligence (Generative AI) in English academic writing, including enhancing the quality of scholarly manuscripts and improving writing efficiency. First, it examines the functional features and scopes of use of tools such as ChatGPT, Wordtune, and WalterWrites.ai across different stages of the writing process, including idea generation, language refinement, and humanization of text. Second, recognizing that a single tool can no longer adequately support the entire workflow of English academic publishing, this paper proposes an integrated framework for employing Generative AI tools. Two workflow models are introduced: the Linear Workflow, suitable for time-constrained and structurally clear short-form writing, and the Iterative Workflow, designed for long-form research that requires in-depth argumentation and repeated revision. Furthermore, recommendations are provided regarding tool combinations and usage scenarios tailored to specific needs, addressing the diverse challenges of English academic writing. Ultimately, this paper aims to construct a practical framework for the application of Generative AI tools, with the goal of helping non-native English scholars alleviate the pressures associated with submitting manuscripts to international journals. |
