中文摘要 | 筆者回顧學校性教育的國際發展史,並對應台灣相同時期的發展狀況。文中將比較貞潔教育模式(Abstinence Only Until Marriage, AO)、全面性教育模式(或Abstinence Plus/A+)和瑞典之較安全性教育等三種性教育模式,說明它們的發展經過、基本原則和內涵,以及AO和A+的研究結果比較。透過理解這些發展歷程和內涵比較即可發現,我國國民教育課程綱要中的性教育相關內涵,與聯合國教科文組織(UNESCO)所提出的全面性教育精神是相符合的。

英文摘要 | The author reviewed the history of international developments in school-based sexuality education and compared them with Taiwan’s development during the same period. This article examined three sexuality education models: the Abstinence-Only (AO) model, the Comprehensive Sexuality Education (or A plus) model, and Sweden’s safer sex education approach. It discussed their historical development, core principles, and key components, while also compared research findings on AO and A Plus. Through understanding these developmental trajectories and comparisons, it becomes evident that the content related to sexuality education in Taiwan’s 108 National Curriculum Guidelines aligns with the principles of Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE) as proposed by UNESCO.
