工程师的分类与工程人才的培养密切相关。在阐述了研究问题的重要性以及分析了国内外工程师分类的现状之后，首先提出了工程师分类的原则，并以此为基础将工程师分为服务工程师、生产工程师、设计工程师和研发工程师四种类型；然后提出了工程师培养标准的构成和各类工程师的培养标准；最后讨论了各类工程师培养和成长的各种途径。

The engineer classification is closely related to engineering talent training. After setting forth the importance of the issue and analyzing the current status of engineer classification at home and abroad， the principles for engineer classification are put forward， and the engineers are classified into four types based on the principles， that is， Serivce Engineer， Produce Engineer， Design Engineer， Research and Develop Engineer. The Structure and contents of the training standards for engineers are then proposed. The way to train and grow up for all kinds engineers are discussed in the end.
