In recent 50 years， it has become unarguable that American graduate education leads the world in many ways. This paper analyzes the advantages of American graduate education， points out the challenges to maintain its' achieved high quality， and addresses the strength and weakness of the training and research on American graduate education. It finally brings forward the path to the prosperity of graduate education for all nations.
