The Measures to Respond to the Current Global Financial Crisis in American Higher Education and Their Implication

当前国际金融危机对美国高等教育产生了巨大冲击，高校财政大幅削减，入学和就业困难等问题十分严峻。为缓解金融危机对高等教育的影响，美国政府采取了一系列积极举措，取得了良好效果。基于美国经验和我国现实需求，我国政府应继续加大高等教育财政投入，提升高校入学和接纳能力，解决好高校学生就业问题，做好[后金融危机时期]＞高等教育发展规划。

American higher education has been negatively impacted by the current global financial crisis， challenged by great funding cutback and the difficulties of enrollment and employment， etc. To alleviate the impact of financial crisis on higher education， American governments have taken a series of positive measures which have achieved effective results. Based on American experience and China’s actual needs， Chinese government should continue to increase financial investment in higher education and strengthen enrollment capacity in higher education institutions， along with finding effective solution for graduates’ employment issues and making proper higher education development plan for post-crisis era.
