英文摘要 | Etymology is a kind of significant theoretical and cultural resources for concept analysis in educational research, including the study of the concept ^education” itself . In these important educational literatures, Tcat^ela in Greek, and educare and humanitas in Latin, are three concepts emerged in early age, frequently occurring in great books and having signiticant influence on history of educational thoughts. The concept Ttat^ela emphasizes education of whole personality and perfect harmonious soul, including fostering the political responsibility of the city state and the moral behaviors and goodness in soul. The concept of educare is the most comprehensive concept, covering a range of meaning from breeding, rearing to education . The concept humanitas has obvious character of humanism; tt represents cultivation of human nature, arts and virtues. All three concepts in classical era have conldence in human and cherish the value of education. Meanwhile, tt is worth keeping reflecting their emphasis on virtue, political life and humanity . |
