The Development and Innovation of Multimedia Digital Materials in Distance Education

How to use interactive mix-media and free terminal， with online or offline spread forms for independent learners as their needs to obtain the desired education resources and complete distance education teaching activities will be an important objectiveof digital learning resources construction and application in the future. Based on the analysis of development history in distance education materials， this research made the definition of multimedia digital materials， made a discussion on the function and innovation of multimedia digital materials in four parts.They effectively integrated in multimedia learning resources， individualized learning methods & content selection and push， interactivity， online and offline learning tool development. This research provided reference for designers and practitioners indigital materials development.
