How to Realize Mutual-Promotion between General Education and Professional Education： Based on Grounded Theory Research at Course Level
Based on grounded theory method， the author investigates the teaching -learning process of a general education course offered by A university. It is found that in the context that there is specific connection between the major-related disciplines and the general education curriculum-related disciplines， if the professional course is taught with certain breadth and depth， students tend to adopt a mutual-promotion learning method， which displays the mechanism of mutual-promotion between general education and professional education at course level. The findings may shed light on the reform of general education and the development of general education curriculum within universities.
