中文摘要 | 本研究採質性研究方法,深入探究一位嚴重障礙幼兒小光母親在一項著重家長諮詢與訓練的療育計畫中,如何獲得擴權及增進教養技巧的過程和結果。研究者在為期九個多月的療育過程中,藉由觀察和訪談,持續收集資料。結果發現:在提供家長諮詢和訓練的療育過程中,我們將母親視為合作夥伴,不但讓她感受「陪伴」,也從分享和討論中,獲得心理和情緒上的支持。其次,在提升教養技巧上,我們透過與母親的共同討論,並在自然示範和母親實作過程中,讓她體會策略運用於日常生活中的可行性;進而協助她覺察自己的教養態度,以增加她執行的動機。隨著小光母親逐漸跨越無助感,她更能掌握孩子的特質,展現與專業人員溝通及解決問題的能力,並且漸漸地調整生活的重心。雖然如此,小光多重的問題、母親的外控特質等因素侷限母親的行動力。 |
英文摘要 | This qualitative case study involved intervention, with the emphasis on the empowerment of the mother of a two-and-a-half-year-old child (Kwang) with severe disabilities. The data were collected over a 9-month period through participant observation and interviews. In the ongoing process of empowerment, Kwang's mother was treated as our partner and accompanied with emotional support. To enhance her parenting skills, we adopted such strategies as sharing, discussion, and demonstration to guide her to teach and manage her child more effectively in daily routines, and, most importantly, to take the initiative in communicating and solving problems with confidence. The results revealed that the mother was enabled to gradually overcome the feeling of powerlessness, gain a sense of control over her child (Kwang), and adapt to a new lifestyle. However, given the severity of Kwang's problems and mother's characteristics, there were still limits to what she was able to do. |
