中文摘要 | 教授治学的形成与发展存在着两条线索:一条发轫于欧洲中世纪大学,主要是传统的延续;另一条发轫于美国大学,主要是探索高深学问的需要。无论是何者,教授治学都有其局限性。教授治学在中国的困境,根本原因在于缺乏其生存与发展所需要的本土思想和文化的理解与支持。推行教授治学,既需要落实和扩大高校自主办学权,更需要教授自觉致力于学术事业,养成独立思想和自由精神。 |
英文摘要 | The formation and development of professors' academic governance can be traced back to two sources. One is the heritage of medieval universities, the other is the need for developing higher learning in American universities. In either source, professors' academic governance has its own limitations. Its dilemma in China is caused by the lack of native thought and culture conductive to understanding and promoting professors' academic governance. The implementation of professors' academic governance not only requires the enhancement of university autonomy, but also professors' devotion to academic career and the cultivation of independent thought and liberal spirit. |
