西部欠发达地区外语教师职业发展研究──基于外语教师信息素养的调查报告

A study on the professional development of foreign language teachers in the undeveloped west of China－A survey on the information literacy of foreign language teachers

现代信息技术为外语教学提供了尽可能真实的语言环境，教师的信息素养已成为信息时代改革外语教学、提高外语教学质量的关键。为了了解西部欠发达地区高校外语教师的信息素养现状及需求，本文对西部三所高校外语教师的信息知识、信息意识、信息技能和信息伦理等方面进行了问券调查和访谈，结果显示：西部高校外语教师绝大多数能充分认识到信息素养对教师发展的重要性；外语教师能够掌握现代信息技术知识和信息基本理论知识；外语教师对传统教学设备和常用计算机操作系统的掌握程度较好；他们能认识到在网上散发病毒行为的危害性；外语教师对于信息技术在教学中和科研中的作用认可程度较高。但外语教师将信息技术与外语课程整合的技能较差。本文针对讨论结果对外语教师提高信息素养提出了几点建议。

Modern information technology may provide quite authentic environment for foreign language teaching. Teachers' information literacy has become the key to the reform of foreign teaching and to the improvement of foreign language teaching quality. To better understand the information literacy status and demands of foreign language teachers at tertiary level in the undeveloped west of China, this paper conducted a survey on foreign language teachers of three colleges in western China from the aspects of teachers' information knowledge, information awareness, skills and ethics. The results show that: the majority of foreign language teachers fully understand the important role played by information literacy in their professional development; they have obtained relevant knowledge of modern information technology and basic theoretical knowledge of information; they have a good command of traditional teaching equipment and commonly used computer system; they are aware of the threat of spreading viruses on line; they highly recognize the significant role of information technology in teaching and research. However, their skill of integrating information technology with foreign language curriculum is not good. Then some suggestions are presented as to how to improve the information literacy of foreign language teachers.
